SMILE!

A large church had a nursery for the use of those with young babies. On the door leading to the nursery was a sign with a Bible text from 1 Corinthians 15:5: "Behold, I tell you a mystery; we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed.”

A father was reading Bible stories to his young son. He read, "The man named Lot was warned to take his wife and flee out of the city, but his wife looked back and was turned into a pillar of salt." His son asked, "What happened to the flea?"

A Sunday School teacher asked her class if they knew some of the names of God. One boy put his hand up and said, “Andy.”
“Where did you get that idea from?” asked the teacher.
“From my Mum’s favourite hymn.” He replied. “ She is always singing, ‘Andy walks with me, Andy talks with me, Andy tells me I am His own.’

WIT & WISDOM

PAUSE FOR THOUGHT:

If life is an accident, it cannot conceivably have any purpose, for accident and purpose are mutually exclusive. —John Blanchard.

You cannot arrive at your life’s purpose by starting with a focus on yourself. You must begin with God, your Creator. You exist only because God wills that you exist. You were made by God and for God—and until you understand that, life will never make sense. It is only in God that we discover our origin, our identity, our meaning, our purpose, our significance, and our destiny. Every other path leads to a dead end.
                                                           — Rick Warren

"A cheerful heart is good medicine."
(The Bible, Proverbs 17: 22)
"Pay attention and listen to the sayings of the wise."
(The Bible, Proverbs 22: 17)
